WHY IS MANUFACTURER TRAINING IMPORTANT?
We have a proud team shoutout!
Our technicians Harvey and Finlay have recently completed their manufacturer training and apprenticeships with BMW and Audi/ VAG, and we couldn’t be happier.
Harvey is a Senior IMI MET Technician and has worked for Gillibrand since the age of 21. He has established himself as a skilled Audi/ VAG Technician and has also successfully completed his Volkswagen/Audi Apprenticeship. Harvey also holds EV Level 3 and AOM230 IMI ADAS Accreditation qualifications. Most recently, he has started his journey with BMW to become a fully trained BMW Technician. Harvey is a valued member of the team who consistently delivers high-quality workmanship and demonstrates a strong commitment to ongoing development.
Finlay is a Senior IMI Paint Technician who joined Gillibrand at the age of 16 and is now 20 years old. Over the past four years, he has played a key role in the repair and transformation of damaged vehicles. Finlay has successfully completed his BMW Apprenticeship and holds an IMI EV Level 2 qualification.
This leads to a crucial question: why is it important that apprentices attend manufacturer training centres?
As you know, Gillibrand Accident Repair Centre cares deeply about your vehicle and the work that goes into restoring it to its pre-accident condition. We are an Approved Repairer for a range of leading vehicle manufacturers, including Audi, Volkswagen, SEAT, Škoda, BMW, MINI, Tesla, Volvo, Polestar, Toyota, Ford and Kia, as well as a Specialist Bodyshop for Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche.
We are committed to providing the highest standard of repairs by using genuine parts, state-of-the-art paint systems and materials, and, most importantly, highly trained technicians and management staff. To deliver the best possible repairs, we place great importance on ongoing training and development.
Sending apprentices to manufacturer training centres provides significant advantages for both the apprentice and Gillibrand. Manufacturer-led training enhances technical knowledge, develops practical skills using the latest equipment and technologies, builds confidence, and supports the achievement of recognised manufacturer accreditations. By investing in our apprentices, we continue to strengthen the quality of our repairs while supporting the long-term development of both our employees and customer relationships.
Our manufacturer-trained technicians are equipped to recalibrate ADAS systems, recode steering racks, and reprogramme advanced vehicle technologies. When you choose Gillibrand, you can be confident that your vehicle is in the hands of skilled professionals who repair to exact manufacturer standards, ensuring it is restored safely and correctly.
Congratulations, Harvey and Finlay, on this fantastic achievement. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to continuous learning are a credit to yourselves and to Gillibrand. We look forward to supporting your continued development and seeing what you accomplish next.
