Gillibrand Accident Repair Centre is a family-run business, originally established as a wheelwright and blacksmith workshop by the Gillibrand family in 1859. Today, it is owned and managed by the Weddle family and specialises in high-quality paint, body, and accident repairs, combining decades of experience with modern techniques.
We appreciate that when something goes wrong with your car it can be a very stressful. At Gillibrand Accident Repair Centre we have many years of experience and we like to think we have thought about absolutely everything to make things run smoothly. That’s why our comprehensive range of services support you throughout the repair process from collection of your vehicle, arranging replacement transport, the repairs in the workshop and cleaning your car inside and out. We can also deliver your car back to help minimise the disruption to your own daily routine.
Gillibrand Accident Repair Centre also provide long term paint and body repair guarantees direct from many of our Manufacturers Approvals. These are in place to provide you with the reassurances that you need that not only will we have done an excellent job on your vehicle but that it will still be in excellent condition in years to come.

We are enormously proud to be approved by major vehicle manufacturers
This includes brands such as BMW, Audi, Tesla, Mini, Volvo, Polestar, Volkswagen, SEAT, ŠKODA, Ford, LEXUS, Toyota, Kia and CUPRA. We also hold a British Standards Kitemark which is an Industry accreditation associated with repair quality and safety. To become approved by leading vehicle manufacturers such as Tesla, BMW, Mini, Volvo, LEXUS, VW and Audi, our body and paint technicians have to be experienced and highly trained. In fact, they are trained by the people who built the cars in the first place, i.e. the vehicle manufacturers themselves, at their very own training centre.
By attending training courses at the manufacturer’s training centre, for example the Tesla training centre in Holland and Germany, the VW and BMW Group Training centres in Milton Keynes or the Volvo training centre in Daventry, it ensures we are kept right up-to-date with the latest vehicle technologies and paint and body repair processes.
As well as receiving excellent training in vehicle paint and body repairs, the other benefits of being approved by multiple manufacturers is that we use their genuine parts, we use paint and materials that have been approved by the vehicle manufacturers themselves and we follow the correct manufacturer repair methods.
